SUE comprises four distinct Quality Levels,
each tailored to specific project needs

Quality Level A (QL-A)

Achieving the highest level of accuracy requires safely exposing utilities to provide comprehensive details about underground features, encompassing type, size, condition, and more.

Quality Level B (QL-B)

Our specialty involves a combination of tools like Radio Frequency Locators, Ground Penetrating Radar, and Traceable Push Rods to locate utilities horizontally within project limits.

Quality Level C (QL-C)

Involves surveying visible utility facilities and cross-referencing this data with existing records.

Quality Level D (QL-D)

The most basic level, relying on existing utility records or verbal recollections.

Our expertise lies in Quality Level B (QL-B) services, following an 8-step process:

Contact the 811-call center to obtain utility records.
Perform a visual inspection of site conditions.
Review old as-built records and interview knowledgeable staff.
Conduct a radio detection survey using various direct connect, inductive ring clamp, electromagnetic induction and passive detection methods.
Employ Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to locate non-metallic utilities.
Locate untraceable fiber optics with traceable push rods.
Mark underground utilities using water-based or chalk paint.
Perform a final on-site checklist by comparing utility records with on-site findings.
